Professor Aparajita Bhattacharya has done her B.Sc and M. Sc from department of Physics, Jadavpur University. She has done her Ph.D from Jadavpur University in High Energy Particle Physics in 1990 and joined as a faculty in the department of physics, Jadavpur University in the same year. She became professor of physics in 2007 and served as Head of the department of Physics, Jadavpur University during 2014-2016. Her primary area of research is hadron structure-phenomenology. Other areas of interest are Fractal properties of particles, Early universe, QGP, Particle collisions and Neutrino physics. She has 70 publications to her credit in different international journals of repute and attended a number of conferences abroad which includes USA, Germany, ICTP, Trieste, Italy. She has Completed three projects awarded by DST and UGC. Prof. Bhattacharya has 26 years of teaching experience in undergraduate level of Science and Engineering along with post graduate level of nuclear and particle physics as a faculty at Jadavpur University.
