Dr. Tuhin Bhadra Joined Adamas University as an Assistant Professor of Geography in February, 2019. He graduated from Asutosh College, University of Calcutta in 2008 and post graduated from Rabindra Bharati University with specialization in Fluvial Geomorphology in 2010. He obtained his M.Phil degree in Oceanography and Coastal Management from Jadavpur University in 2013. He also completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS from Jadavpur University in 2016. He has completed his doctoral research on Hydrology and Water Resource Management at the School of Oceanographic Studies, Jadavpur University and successfully submitted his thesis. During his doctoral research, he received Newton-Bhabha Fellowship (sponsored by British Council, UK and DBT, Govt. of India) in 2017 to attend a PhD internship at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK for three months. He also received BSRS Fellowship to attend a summer school on system dynamic modelling at the University of Bergen, Norway in 2016 and DAAD fellowship to attend another summer school on hydrological modelling at the University of Kiel, Germany in 2015. During his tenure at the Jadavpur University, Dr. Bhadra was associated with different national and international research projects. Dr. Bhadra qualified CSIR-UGC NET JRF in Earth Science and UGC NET LS in Geography. He attended training programme on catchment modelling and groundwater modelling at the National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee, and winter school on statistical data analysis at ISI, Kolkata and training programme on numerical hydrological modelling at IIT, Kharagpur in 2015. He received the best paper award at the National Seminar on Remote Sensing & Environment, Kolkata organized by DST, Govt. of West Bengal and SOS, Jadavpur University in 2014. He is a life member of Indian Association of Hydrologists. His research interest includes fluvial geomorphological, hydrology and water resource management, hydrological and hydrodynamic modelling, eco-hydrology, climate change impact assessment, remote sensing and GIS applications etc.
