Advances in Medical Physics and Healthcare Engineering

Organised by Department of Physics (in Collaboration with the School of Engineering & Technology) Adamas University, Kolkata
About the Conference

Healthcare technology is a marriage between medical science and technology to offer humanity a better health. With increasing life expectancy, there is a constant demand and scope of improvement in the healthcare industry around the world. AMPHE 2020 is a platform for global professional development in terms of scientific research for the healthcare providing community. The theme of the conference being interdisciplinary in nature, it will interest students, researchers and faculty members from biomedical engineering, biotechnology, medical physics, life sciences, material science, and also from electrical, electronics and mechanical engineering backgrounds nurturing applications in biomedical domain. The conference will have Special sessions along with regular technical sessions to discuss emerging trends of applications in healthcare technology. The said conference will be held in TECHNICAL CO-SPONSORSHIP with IEEE – Kolkata Section.

About The Department

Located in the scenic green campus of Adamas University – Kolkata, the Department of Physics started its activity in 2015. The department is an active beehive of research being carried out in the wide variety of frontier areas as well as high quality Under-graduate, Post-graduate and Doctoral programs. The department has flexibility in framing courses and conducting tests and examinations.

Establishment of state-of-the art experimental and computational facilities has allowed us to venture into emergent interdisciplinary area like Nano-technology and biomedical instrumentation. Apart from conventional undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pure physics, the department offers an interdisciplinary postgraduate course, M.Sc (Tech) in Medical Physics and Instrumentation. The course is designed with theory, practical, internships for real time exposure to the industry, and dissertation to guide students towards a bright professional future. Summer and Winter Schools are conducted by Dept. of Physics.

Original contributions are invited from the academicians, researchers, consultants as well as practicing engineers associated with advances and recent trends in medical physics and healthcare engineering. All the submitted papers will initially go through the peer review process by the technical program committee and authors of the accepted papers will be presenting their papers in the assigned sessions. The proposed tracks for invited talks and contributory papers are listed below (not limited to):

i) Electron devices, systems and circuits for healthcare
