Integrated M.Sc. In Mathematics and Computing Program

Introduction to the Program:

The Integrated M.Sc. program is open to students with 10+2 passed in Science with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory papers. There is a variety of Core-courses from Mathematics as well as Computer Science that emphasize the fundamentals while keeping in mind the evolving nature of the subject. This Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing programme is a regular fulltime programme spanned for ten semesters. Through this program, student may acquire in depth theoretical knowledge in different areas of the field of Mathematics such as Algebra, Calculus, Real Analysis, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Theory of Probability etc. and computer science such as Programming, Algorithm, Data Base Management System, Compiler design, and other branches of Mathematics.

Program Outcome:

After successful completion of this program, the students will:

  1. Gain rich knowledge of fundamental courses in Mathematics including Algebra, Analysis, Calculus, Statistics, Optimization, Numerical Analysis, and apply such knowledge in pursuing research and solving real life problems
  2. Acquire elementary knowledge of other branches of science and computing related to Physics, Chemistry, Life Science, Computer Science which will build the platform for the higher-level application-based and interdisciplinary studies and applications
  3. Acquire knowledge of theoretical foundations and limits of computing and different levels of abstraction including architecture of operating systems, algorithms, and applications.
  4. Develop skill to design and implement algorithms and data structures for efficiently solving problems of the modern era
  5. Develop capability to use and apply mathematical, statistical and computational techniques and tools to model and analyze a variety of problems
  6. Gain experience of studying different topics, and solving theoretical and practical problems through attending summer internship in different renowned institutes and companies
  7. Develop skill of giving scientific speech and build efficient communication skill
  8. Be well prepared for jobs in software industries, research and development organizations and for pursuing higher studies and research in mathematics and computing sciences.

Programme Eligibility:

Qualified 10+2 level or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects with 50% marks plus qualifying AUAT, followed by an interview.
