She completed her Graduation from Presidency College, Kolkata in 2012 with Geography (Hons.), Economics and Mathematics. She has a double Masters degree with Masters in Geography from Presidency University, Kolkata in 2014, and Masters in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences (Mumbai) in 2015. She also has an M.Phil in Population Studies form IIPS (Mumbai). She is a gold-medalist in both Masters and M.Phil from IIPS(Mumbai). She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai on the topic of Urban Restructuring and slum improvement in the age of neoliberalism. She has a growing number of publications in reputed journals and books, both national and international. She has also attended many national and international conferences and visited countries like U.S. A. and Sri Lanka for presenting her papers. Her research interests are mainly in the field of urban studies, migration, welfare geography, demography, health and gender, application of quantitative and qualitative methods in geographical research.
