Dr. Pratik Dash is an emerging Geographer working as an Assistant Professor in Adamas University since November 2017. He had completed B.Sc. degree in Geography from Vidyasagar College under the University of Calcutta. He has obtained M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Geography from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He obtained Doctoral degree on “Hydrological studies in Sirsa Basin of Satluj River, Himachal Pradesh Using Remote Sensing and GIS” working in collaboration with Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS, Dehradun). He has been awarded as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in 2009 and Research Associate (RA) in 2017 by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). Dr. Dash has worked as Research Associate in Jawaharlal Nehru University from January 2016 to October 2017. He is interested in Physical Geography, Quantitative Geography and Remote Sensing and GIS applications. He is expertise in hydrological and hydrodynamic modelling, flood modelling, disaster management, land use dynamics, river basin geomorphology and climate change analysis. He has published several research articles in national and International refereed journals. Currently he is supervising researchers working on eco-tourism, urban heat island and health GIS.
